"Core" Game Mechanics
About
OSTS is my attempt to create a open source system that can be used for any type of game setting. The idea is to create a core system that people can use for a basis for their own game settings for any type of game. What people create then will be shared here so others can build upon it and adapt it for their game settings. Currently I am working on what I am calling "core" which is as it's name suggests a core to the system that people can add upon as well as a default game setting for people to play. It is currently nowhere close to being playable but I am working hard on it.

July 26th, 2010 So yeah I am doing another major rewrite of OSTS, this time I am changing the way skill bonuses work and the languages in the default stetting. For Skill Bonuses I am going to change it from each race having two skill bonuses it gets automatically to having one determined by your race and one being determined by the player upon character creation. For Languages for the default setting I am going to be making Trade into a universal language for at least player characters as a secondary language that all players and NPC's that live in a diverse city know. So yeah things will be changing on the wiki, be patient.

July 15th, 2010 Organized the wiki so that the "core" game mechanics and the "default" game setting. Need a better name for the default game setting other then "default game setting" but it really doesn't matter until we have a playable system. More importantly I added forums so people can communicate and help with writing stuff.

June 26th, 2010 Decided to focas the wiki completly on OSTS. I will still provide hosting to any project that contacts me but for the most part the wiki is going to be completely dedicated to the OSTS game system. Also I have worked out a lot of stuff recently including a working Hit Point system and am working on subraces.

May 19th, 2010 Still having issues working out a Hit Points system. I have switched the system to be completely based on percentile dice (d100's).
